Due to a passenger being taken ill on a train earlier today between Holyhead (HHD) and Manchester Airport (MIA):
Services may be delayed by up to 35 minutes.
Services may be cancelled in both directions between Manchester Piccadilly (MAN) and Manchester Airport (MIA).
We expect the incident to last until 18:30 and disruption to services is expected until 18:30.
What's Happened?
Following a passenger that was taken ill earlier today, services along our North Wales Coast continue to be delayed, and our Holyhead to Manchester Airport services may be revised or cancelled between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport.
For services terminating at Manchester Piccadilly, please travel on the next available service to Manchester Airport.

Your ticket can be used on the following alternative routes to help you complete your journey, with the Train Operating Companies listed below at no extra cost:
- Between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport with Northern
- Between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport with TransPennine Express
These arrangements are in place on services until 19:00.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
